Key words:

Oxygen concentrators are a type of machine used to produce oxygen. Below is a detailed introduction to oxygen concentrators:

Oxygen Production Principle

The main principle of oxygen concentrators is to utilize air separation technology. First, air is compressed to a high density, and then, by using the different condensation points of the components in the air, gas-liquid separation is performed at a certain temperature, followed by distillation to separate it into oxygen and nitrogen. Some oxygen concentrators also use the adsorption properties of molecular sieves to separate nitrogen and oxygen from the air using a large displacement oil-free compressor as power, ultimately obtaining high-concentration oxygen.

Specifically, the oxygen production process includes the following steps:

1. Air Compression: Air is compressed to a higher pressure through a compressor for subsequent processing.

2. Molecular Sieve Separation: The compressed air enters the molecular sieve bed, where the molecular sieve uses its differential adsorption capacity for different gas molecules to adsorb impurities such as nitrogen and carbon dioxide from the air, while oxygen passes through because it is not easily adsorbed, thus achieving separation of oxygen from impurities.

3. Oxygen Enrichment: The concentration of oxygen in the gas after molecular sieve separation is significantly increased, reaching standards for medical or industrial use.

4. Pressure Release and Regeneration: When the molecular sieve bed is saturated, it needs to be regenerated. This is usually done by reducing the bed pressure, allowing the adsorbed impurities on the molecular sieve to desorb and be discharged, thereby restoring the adsorption capacity of the molecular sieve.

5. Cyclic Operation: The above processes are usually carried out in a cycle within the oxygen concentrator to ensure a continuous output of high-concentration oxygen.

Applications

1. Medical Oxygen Supply: Oxygen concentrators can be used to supply oxygen to patients, assisting in the treatment of cardiovascular, respiratory, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, as well as recovery from gas poisoning and other severe hypoxia conditions.

2. Health Oxygen Supply: Suitable for middle-aged and elderly people, those with poor physical condition, pregnant women, students preparing for exams, and individuals who are excessively overweight, all of whom may experience varying degrees of physiological hypoxia. It can also help eliminate fatigue and restore physical function after heavy physical or mental exertion.

3. Industrial Applications: Oxygen concentrators also have wide applications in industries such as metallurgy, chemical engineering, petroleum, and national defense.

Operating Methods

1. Equipment Connection: Correctly connect the main unit of the oxygen concentrator, gas collection filter, oxygen delivery tube, and other components according to the instructions.

2. Power Connection: Insert the power cord of the oxygen concentrator into the power socket and turn on the power switch.

3. Add Water to the Humidification Cup: Add an appropriate amount of purified water to the humidification cup to ensure that the output oxygen is moist and comfortable.

4. Adjust Flow Rate: According to usage needs, set the appropriate oxygen flow rate using the flow adjustment knob or button on the oxygen concentrator.
